Michigan Travels

Well would you look at THAT? A big red SOLD SIGN on our house!! Put up a month to the day of listing it. Hurray!! We close on April 30 and then we're headed to DENVER! Yay!
This past weekend we decided we'd better get some last minute Michigan sightseeing under our belts. We took a trip out to the light house in Grand Haven. It was pretty windy and chilly but it was great to see the sunshine!

Jon and Violet walking down the beach...

Violet has been trying hard to figure out the phone lately.
She also discovered that an easy way to carry something from one place to another is to put it in her mouth. She had these raisin boxes in her mouth crawling around on the floor and then up on the coffee table.
Pigtails!
Watching skateboard videos with Daddy.

Violet's 2nd hip surgery will be on Tuesday, April 8. They'll be doing an open reduction where they make an incision and put her femur back into place, cleaning up the area so it STICKS! We also found out some great news about the next cast she'll be in - chances are that she'll have her left let in a half-cast that ends above her knee! I never thought I'd be EXCITED about a cast, but knowing that we'll have one of her legs out is so great!

We have so appreciated all the support from all our friends and family. Keep those prayers, good vibes and positive thoughts coming! They really have worked for Jon and I. I have come to the "zen moment" in our second spica cast adventure. I know we can do it and I'm just hoping Violet pulls though the surgery well and adapts quickly to being casted again. Let's hope for a quick 12 weeks!

We'll keep you posted on Violet's surgery and cast next week! THANKS!

She is so stinkin' cute! I love that you went sight seeing. I am really excited about her cast not being as bulky. She is going to heal perfectly. I just know it.

Congrats on the "sold" sign! That is such a great day. We took a pic of us out in front of the sign and house when we got our "sold" sign up! I think people driving by thought we were buying the house, not selling it.

I hope Violet's surgery goes well and we'll be praying for a perfect recovery!
