Violet is (almost) ONE!!!

It's so hard to believe that one year ago I was sitting around, going about my daily routine, with no IDEA that this most wonderful, adorable, incredible VIOLET was about to make her appearance! It's pretty crazy!

Here is little trip down memory lane..

And here she is showing off her mouth full o' one-year-old teeth. She's got 3 on the top and 2 on the bottom. She makes good use of them and loves to gnaw on bread crust and RIP it off with gusto. Sort of like with crawling, she's probably thinking "Why didn't I try this before?"
We had a winter storm blow through over the last few days and we have a TON of fluffy white snow to show for it. We ventured outside today to "play" in it.
p.s. Violet hates - HATES her gloves. You would think I was taking away her little hands forever the way she cried when I put them on! She even tried to bit them off - the little animal! As you can see, she was not successful.
Childhood Rite of Passage: Eat Snow. Check.
Can't you just FEEL her excitement in this picture? I'm not sure she's a snow girl.
On the way home from the mall yesterday she fell asleep in her carseat like this. She's going to need a little Infant Chiropractic Adjustment after that! Her head should be up where the tag is on the right.
And here is a silly little movie of us going sledding in the front yard. Next time maybe I need to tie her in? That would get me the "Good Mommy Award" I'm sure!

Her birthday isn't until Thursday (the 24th) but I'm not sure I'll have time to post before then... so Happy Birthday little lady! You're the best thing EVER!!!

adorable! We got Laina a super cute "infant" sled that has a harness so we can avoid the "baby in the snow" conundrum. We are taking her up to Vail this weekend so we'll get some pics of her in the sled and post them on our blog. stay tuned...
