Look who can STAND UP!!

Yes sir-eee, Violet has officially PULLED TO STAND!! She is so funny, she did it a few times over the last few days, but now it's ALL she wants to do! We now find her standing up in her crib hanging onto the side when she's up in the morning or up from her nap. She pulls up on the baby gates and yells for us if we are in the other room. She pulls up on things that are not all that stable, or on surfaces that are slippery (all of our wood floors!) and falls. So far, she's been a trooper! Here she is pulling up on a box:

And yes, that is a MOVING BOX she is standing up on... I'm not sure if I've posted anything on here about this although most of you already know... we're MOVING! We're packing up and heading out west to Denver to seek our fortunes. The "For Sale" sign officially goes up on our house on Saturday and we've been busy little bees painting and cleaning and fixing and packing. We are SOOO excited about the move! Send us some good house selling vibes when you get a chance!

This picture is a true testament to how many pictures I've taken of Violet - she is FINALLY starting to smile at the camera even if no one is on the other side! I took this myself and she smiled like a pro. Plus last night at dinner Jon was trying to fill up his new phone with cute Violet pictures and she was a HAM! It was really funny.
A Violet Kiss! It mostly involves me giving her a kiss while trying to evade her chomping little teeth and tongue :) Cute! Sorta.

Violet and her dogs

Violet has apparently gotten the "animal lover" gene from me, her dear mother. She LOVES the dogs! And they love her back. Here she is hanging out with Obi the other day:
A little video I like to call "Secret Lovers"

She also loves to watch them while they play outside:
Bathtime pictures! This is right after tasting the bubbles :)

Why guys love 1 year olds. The Great Flying Viol-Letty!

And a pigtailed Violet playing with her box o' ponies. This mostly includes tossing them out of the box. And putting them back in. And throwing them out. Yay!

When you're 1...

Ah, to be one. The world is so exciting, surprising, fun to nibble on and climb through. It's so FUN to watch Violet discover all sorts of things. Who knew our house could be so entertaining?

Well woulda lookit THAT! A BAGEL! "Mom. You can't put something so colorful on my EATING tray and expect me not to EAT IT!"
(notice both the tip of crayon missing, as well as green slime in the corner of her mouth. I tried to get a picture of her teeth, which were, of course, GREEN!)

She's a climber!! First the coffee table, now her excersaucer. I have a feeling Obi's cage isn't too far away!Today we lost power for almost 2 hours. Which would have been fine except it was ONE degree outside with -18 windchill! She actually did fine and luckily tolerated wearing her hat. She probably thought it was pretty cool that Mom and Dad were both hanging out with her together, in the middle of the day. Luckily JUST as we were headed out the door for Jon's mom's house to get warm, the power was restored and we had HEAT!
